Terms and Conditions for Find a Super Tutor
Welcome to FindaSuperTutor, a platform connecting educators with clients seeking educational (and otherwise stated) assistance for their children. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1. Definitions
Website: Refers to FindaSuperTutor accessible at findasupertutor.com.
User: Any person who accesses the Website, including Educators and Clients.
Educator: And individual who offers their services.
Client: An individual or organisation seeking these services through the Website.
Booking: An agreement between a Educator and a Client for a session, mentoring, or employment.
2. Use of the Website
Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account on FindaSuperTutor.
By registering as either a Client or a Tutor, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for all actions taken under your account.
3. Educator and Client Responsibilities
Educators must provide a safe and conducive learning environment during sessions and maintain professional conduct.
Clients must ensure the environment for sessions (whether in-person or online) is safe and appropriate.
Both parties agree to communicate directly through our messaging software to arrange the specifics of any tutoring engagement, including but not limited to times, locations, and payment arrangements.
4. Bookings
• Hourly Lessons: Clients can book Educators for standard hourly sessions through the Website.
• Day Rates: This is likely most suitable for travelling tutors, nannies, consultant etc. Please discuss requirements before making a booking.
• Long-term Engagements (Termly or annually): Clients have the option to hire Educators for longer-term maybe even or part of their staff team. Terms should be agreed upon directly between the Educator and the Client. Termly engagement is a ten week full time contract. Annual engagement is a 52 week contract.
All bookings of services must be made through the website. If it is a long term engagements then payment will be taken weekly. The rate will be divided into either 10 or 52 equal payments.
5. Engagements
Engagements will occur at the agreed location: at the clients home, at the educators home, a neutral location or online. If the lessons are occurring online please use 3rd party video link providers and interactive whiteboards to conduct the lesson.
6. Payments and Fees
Pricing details for services are advertised on educators profile, by instructing the educators services the client agrees at instructing at those rates. Find a Super Tutor may facilitate the scheduling and payment process via third-party services.
If a payment is made outside of our website between a client and tutor then tutors will be liable to a £500 penalty. Clients will be liable for a penalty of £500 or 50% of booking (whichever is higher).
All payments should be made through the Find a Super Tutor Platform.
Any payment transaction should be made once the parties agree on terms
7. Cancellations and Refunds
Both clients and educators agree to notify each other promptly regarding any cancellations or modifiacations to agreed sessions to find an amicable solution.
Full refund will be given to client if cancelled before 24 hours by either party. Once the booking is less than 24hours away the booking cannot be cancelled by the client. However the educator can make an emergency cancellation and has authority within the website to cancel the booking and issue a refund up to 24 hours after the booking is scheduled. in the event that the educator misses the lesson, doesn't cancel on the platform and the client raises that this has occurred.
Then, the initial payment will be refunded to the client.
8. Limitation of Liability
Find a Super Tutor acts as a platform for meeting educators and clients. We are not liable for any conduct, damages, losses, or any adverse consequences arising from interactions or engagements between Users.
9. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Find a Super Tutor, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorney's fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Website.
10. Modifications
Find a Super Tutor reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted to this page and will include the date of modification.
11. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of UK, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
